Antje Zeiher

In her exhibition “Formis” Antje Zeiher is showing a new series of textile découpés. They combine the technique of collage with elements of painting and drawing.
Her work is very much process based, the use of color and materials like thrifted textiles and roller blindes play a central role in these works.
With these new pieces AZ attempts to examine the opposite conditions or states of being inside and outside.
This could either mean, literally being in- or outside of a room or building but also a certain setting or even in a more personal, intimate way, being inside or outside of oneself.
In a way, it seems the closed blinds leave everything outside, whatever this might be, and create a new truth within.
