Carin Riley and Frauke Schlitz are choosing the line as the primary tool to trace their relationship to the world. The artists rely on the distinct qualities of their lines. In both cases the world could be described as self generating line systems. While Carin Riley relates to ancient cultural issues, Frauke Schlitz focuses on metaphorical qualities of actual urban environments.
