In Veikko Hirvimäkis neuer Ausstellung sind es die Tiere, die ihre Stimme erheben und eine gemeinsame Lösung für die anhaltende Krise fordern.
Mit über 25 Holzskulpturen übersetzt der Künstler die Stimme der Natur in einen Aufruf zum Handeln. Von Insekten über Füchse bis hin zu Raben, eine neue Gruppe von Aktivisten erobert den Raum der Galerie Vogdt und bringt uns mit einem neuen Aufruf zum Handeln ins kommende Jahr.

Since decades I woke up wondering if art for art was enough for me. I came to the conclusion that it should include an underneath message. A message which refers to the roots of man, to the time where he had no weapons to disrupt the state of nature.
When men went painting on the walls of caves, it was a ritual for asking and thanking nature. Here are our roots. Man became a dictator on our planet, starting to rule everything with artificial intelligence based on profit and destroying the equilibrium of nature for our consumers fever, our wellbeing and our comfort.
Animals in my work are messengers. They are at once demonstrators and revolutionaries who react against the destruction of NATURE.
This is why I call this ensemble Demonstration of Nature.
